Taser Pulse, A Compact Personal Protection Gadget That Packs A Punch

Taser International announced a whole new electronic control device (ECD) at the 2016 SHOT Show. The self defense device is designed for non-law enforcement use and is named the Pulse. Compared with the existing C2 weapon designed for civilian use, the Pulse is handgun shaped and is a link between the C2 and also the X26 often utilized by police departments.

Taser designed the Pulse to be more of an intuitive use gadget since a lot of individuals are acquainted with the way a pistol functions. It has a low profile thumb safety and also angled sights to make it much more amenable to concealed carry. The exchangeable cartridge has a 15 feet range.

Similar to the X26, the unit possesses a built in red laser for aiming. Moreover, the system uses a LED white light for illumination. Based on my knowledge with the X26 in real deployments, I found the laser performed well.

Similar to the C2, the Pulse is built to produce a variable electrical pulse over 30 seconds. The concept is this will permit the user to leave the scene in the event the probes are appropriately deployed. This is different from the units sold to law enforcement officials in which the pulse length is a lot less: 5 seconds.
